I write to you at the direction of the Board of Directors of the Main-Gerrard Community Development Co-operative, Inc. to support the application made by Mr. Jan Pachul for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language low power television programming undertaking at Toronto. 2. Main-Gerrard Community Development Co-operative is a 103 unit housing co-operative which was incorporated in August of 1974. We house a mixed income and diverse range of members and their children. We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary with an exciting party, which Mr. Pachul participated in through his station. 3. Mr. Pachul proved to us that he has the capacity and the will to cover local events which we believe will enhance the community, a goal that we share with him and his endeavour. 4. It is our considered opinion that there can be no good reason for you to not grant Mr. Pachul his licence. He has demonstrated his intentions over the past months through his persistence and voluntary participation in our community. He has shown the technical ability to get programs on the air and broadcast. He has shown a willingness to involve others in the development and running of this community effort. 5. We live in this community. We have a long history of success in our enterprise. We believe that this station will greatly enhance our community. We strongly support Mr. Pachul's application and urge you to grant him this licence. Robert A.
