I write in support of the above reference application. 2. This station, when approved, will be what T.V. should be. Local interest items that help cement the community together and keep citizens informed of local issues at the micro level, instead of the crass commercially motivated programming of the mainstream media. 3. Mr. Pachul has already proven himself adept at taking local events and creating interesting viewing from them. Once licenced, he will be able to grow this station into model for any other groups interested in creating the same type of station. 4. If we are going to have a Canadian identity in the new millenium, this is how we are going to achieve it. Small, community oriented media outlets with local appeal and Canadian content. For this reason if no other, Mr. Pachul deserves the full support of this community, the C.R.T.C. anyone else interested in preserving a little of what it means to be Canadian. 5. Having had extensive discussions with Jan Pachul about his hopes, goals and values, I can unequivocally support this application and hope that you will grant him a licence to broadcast.
